| Greyhounds have a noble history. As part of our hobby of medieval re-creation I have learned to paint from medieval manuscripts. In the 1500's a beautiful book was written and illuminated describing the techniques of hunting. Known as Gaston Phoebus' Book of the Hunt after the patron who commissioned it and dictated it's contents, it is now a classic study of medieval illuminations of hunting animals.
Shown here are two paintings I did with gouache on bristol board. The second image uses real gold leaf in the text and on the corners. I have had prints made that are available for sale. The signed prints are matted in archival quality acid free mats and ready to frame in a standard 11x14 frame.
